Description:
Deleting a user account allows the deleted username to be available for new registrations in XenForo immediately.
Our add-on let you specify any amount of time (even forever) where deleted usernames cannot be used for new accounts.
Since a community greatly depends on well-known usernames any confusion with someone else using such a well-known username for new accounts can be avoided. Also users, who are deleted for abusive use of your forum cannot simply register a new account with their old username immediately after being deleted.
With this add-on installed every time a user account will be deleted, the username will be memorized and new registrations with the same username will not be possible. It will show "Username not available, please choose another" to the registering user.
If an admin decides to create an new account with a protected old username or if an admin wants to change the username of an existing account to a protected old username a warning will appear and the usage of the protected username will be possible after being confirmed by the admin.
There also is an option to let you to specify how long deleted usernames should be memorized until new registrations with the username will be possible again.
This add-on works well with all third-party add-ons that allow users to change their usernames themselves. It also will deny the usage of protected, deleted usernames when used with such third-party add-ons.
